Ask a webpage

Read a public page or paste text and find exact source excerpts answering your question.

URL reading is limited to docs.python.org, developer.mozilla.org, docs.typesafe.ai, mermaid.js.org, developers.cloudflare.com, www.rfc-editor.org and en.wikipedia.org. Other pages: paste their text below. This fetch sends the URL to our server, not to Jev, and executes no page scripts. Login/paywall bypass is not supported.

Up to 10,000 characters and 100 paragraphs. Answers are exact excerpts, not generated explanations. A fetched page may be truncated; inspect the text before asking.

Jev checks whether the source contains an answer and selects a supporting paragraph. A source can be wrong or malicious; excerpts are evidence from that source, not independent fact verification.

Jev interpretation

AI receives the bounded page text and your question. No external knowledge is used to construct an answer. Your inputs are not stored by this application or sent to analytics. TypeSafe receives submitted AI context.

What this tool does

This tool returns exact supporting paragraphs, not a generated essay. Jev checks answer presence separately from selecting a passage. Unsupported questions return not answered; partial evidence is labeled. Pasted text can come from any source. URL fetching is deliberately restricted to the documentation hosts listed above, revalidates every redirect and does not execute scripts. Paywalls, logins, JS-only content and sources outside that allowlist require pasted text.

Privacy and uncertainty

Only explicit AI requests send bounded source context to Jev through our protected server. There is no account or application input-history database. AI classifications can be wrong; typed output is not proof of truth. Read privacy and operating limits.
